How to Act Like a Big Company

July 21, 2008

What's New

Just posted a new article over at Duct Tape Marketing about improving the branding of your company by acting like big company, even when you are not.

The premise of the article is that you can create the impression of your company being much bigger and prestigious than it may be by adopting a stance in your advertising.  Essentially, you can use advertising to get people to believe that you have a larger company than you do, so that those people will feel more secure in dealing with you than they would if they thought of you as a smaller company.

Although there is something to be said for being a smaller, more specialized company, most consumers prefer to deal with bigger, “brand name” companies.  As I note in the article, you can make people believe you are that sort of company, even if your whole company is just one person in an office.
