It’s been quite some time since we last blogged about our nonprofit sponsorship program, but we’d like to assure all NPOs out there that UCommunity is still alive and kicking! There have been many great changes to this sponsorship campaign since our last update, so read on and find out how your local nonprofit can benefit as well.
UPrinting’s Non-Profit Sponsorship Campaign: A Comprehensive Guide to UCommunity
What the UCommunity Program is All About
UPrinting’s UCommunity program is basically sponsorship of online printing services; we aim to help non-profits, charities, churches and schools by sponsoring printed materials for their fundraising and promotional needs.
What a Non-profit Would Get if They Got Sponsorship
- 10% Permanent Discount – on all printing orders, including having sales tax waived, when the non-profit submits a digital copy of their 501c3 determination letter.
(Actually, all non-profits that submit this requirement will be able to enjoy the discount, but for a UCommunity partner, this is only one out of several benefits.) - Dedicated Sales and Support – a dedicated account manager will assist nonprofits with all their print projects, and collaborate with our other departments to ensure they get the best experience from UPrinting.
- Free Printing Credits – depending on the sponsorship package applied for, a non-profit organization can get from $100 to $1000 worth of printing credits for FREE!
- Joint Press Release Distribution – applicable only to select sponsorship packages, UCommunity Press Releases will also be published on behalf of the non-profit organizations to help raise awareness for their causes.
What Nonprofits Need to Do to Get Sponsorship
Requirements:
A non-profit organization must agree to certain requirements corresponding the sponsorship package they choose. The table above lists the different sponsorship packages we offer – Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Please refer to it to see whether the following requirements are needed for the sponsorship package you are interested in. - UPrinting Logo Placement on Printing – all printed materials will have the UPrinting logo on them. The non-profit organization will be able to decide where to place our logo.
- 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Status – we accept digital copies of this in .pdf, .doc, or .jpeg format.
- Testimonial Review – the non-profit organization must agree to provide feedback or give a review of UPrinting’s products, services, etc. when needed.
- UPrinting Link Placement on Website – our logo and a link back to our site must be placed on the non-profit organization’s website. The non-profit will be able to dictate where to place our link and logo. (For the Silver, Gold, and Platinum sponsorship packages only)
- National Organization Chapter/Main – our community outreach coordinator will verify whether your non-profit has a National Organization Chapter/Main status, and is eligible for our Gold/Platinum sponsorship package.
Procedure:
- Go to the form (under the Application Process tab) on our UCommunity page. (Alternately, you can send a sponsorship proposal to ucommunity[at]uprinting.com and include the following information below.)
- Select the sponsorship package of your choice, making sure you agree to the requirements in the package you pick.
- The form on the UCommunity page will ask for an email address and a password to set up your account. It’s free – no credit card information required! (If you already have an account, you only need to log in.)
- Enter your name and your organization’s details, including its focus and website.
- Upload a digital copy of your 501c3 Certificate (.pdf, .doc, or .jpeg).
- Enter your nonprofit’s contact details and the captcha code, then hit the “Submit Application” button.
- Wait for a call or an email from our UCommunity staff, or you can follow up your application yourself by calling 1-800-381-3441. Once we process your application, your nonprofit can start ordering prints with your selected package’s free printing credits right away!
Nonprofits That Have Benefited from UCommunity
Our UCommunity page currently features nonprofit partners who have benefited from our program.
Our UCommunity staff is busily looking for new nonprofits to sponsor right now, as well as helping existing partners with their print orders – even as you read this! We’ve had dozens of new partners join the program in the past month, some of which are the Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the UCLA Public Health Student Association, and the AIDS Project New Haven.
Additional Details about the Nonprofit Sponsorship Program
- Sponsorship does not apply to shipping costs, mailing service fees, postage, and design fees. However, any nonprofit organization can use their mailing rates with UPrinting’s mailing service by downloading a USPS Form 3623 from the USPS website, processing this with USPS and providing us with the approval copy.
- The sponsorship period for all packages is one year. After that period, the NPO is eligible to apply for another round of sponsorship.
- If your organization has a major print requirement within the 1 year sponsorship period, we’re always open to additional sponsorship requests. These requests are subject to our management’s review and approval; you’ll only need to send these proposals to ucommunity[at]uprinting.com.
