I’ve talked in a previous post about how we have been wired towards consumerism from childhood. But this may be going a little too far:

Yes, the middle machine is offering fake lower back tattoos. The same type of lower back tattoos that the lacivious protagonists in Wedding Crashers described by saying that a woman wearing one may as well be wearing a target. The same ones which are often viewed as a sign of sexual promiscuity and referred to as “tramp stamps.”
There are two even more troubling things about this picture. One is the fact that the machine is in a Toys R Us store, in a specially branded “Stickers R Us” machine. The second is the placement of the product between stickers of pre-teen icon Hannah Montana and stickers of Disney cartoon characters. Am I the only one who thinks promoting a supposed sign of sexual promiscuity to the Hannah Montana crowd is just a little bit wrong?

I agree. Many teenagers get tattoos as soon as they turn 18 and don’t put enough thought into it so they end up regretting it later. No need to get little ones into tattoos at such a young age.
